If I do, I was wondering if anyone has tried the Brother software/hardware that you need to purchase separately (again, more cash than I'd like to spend!) called 'Brother PED-Basic Software for Downloading Embroidery Designs ' running Boot Camp, and if so, which Windoze OS would be the best to install. I have also been thinking about reformatting my main drive and setting up Boot Camp (just for these silly little things) but I'd prefer not to have to. However, I don't know if there is any point in buying an embroidery model (and spending the extra cash) if I can't use it with my Mac. Is there a home / hobbyist embroidery machine out there, that is OS X friendly? I am also trying to find Embroidery Machine Mac Programs Hi! I'm considering buying a new sewing machine, and I'm interested in a combination sewing/embroidering model (the Brother LB6770 PRW - Project Runway Limited Edition). Searching the 'net in general reveals applications that are either 1) Ancient (System 7!), or 2) Industrial (Several thousand dollars to purchase).

There's a good number of computer-controlled machines out there, but none quite seem to be Mac friendly that I can find.

I am looking to do some hobby sewing / embrodiery of symbols & artwork, specifically repeating a number of logos repeatedly (Making a series of 'Favors' for a Ren Faire - something that looks like a princess stitched it for her knights, that I can easily reproduce & replace as they get damaged or lost). StitchBuddy-QL previews embroidery files directly on your Mac! As a QuickLook plugin it integrates seamlessly into the Finder's Cover Flow, Spotlight and every Quick Look enabled application like Apple's Mail.StitchBuddy-QL provides a list of used colors including color samples, a design preview with pseudo-realistic 3D effects and it is localized.Supported are the embroidery formats Janome. It also gives us the privilege to export graphic designs, provide description through clipboards and use its drag and drop option in various other applications while these features are missing in StitchBuddy HD and StitchBuddy View.Ql free download - StitchBuddy-QL, BrushViewerQL, ScriptQL, and many more programs. StitchBuddy Mac is compatible with Mac with Intel Processor which helps in printing the color sheet with real size templates.

The limitation for StitchBuddy here is that I cannot implement its trial version in all the applications to test its functions. StitchBuddy View is attuned with the iPhone and iPod Touch and is a smaller version of StitchBuddy HD. On the other hand, I can also share my designs through email also. But definitely, I can use USB or WiFi for iTunes File sharing for copying the designs to my computer. Nevertheless, one of the drawbacks of iPad is that it cannot transfer designs from Stitchbuddy HD directly to any embroidery machine I am working with. Simply, I have to open Apple AppStore app icon on my iPad whenever it shows a badge. I can get all its updates absolutely free.
